The City of Chocolate

Oh, the Provencal Drôme, with its sun, its lavender fields, its local products, and its remarkable villages… Did you know that the region is also home to the City of Chocolate ? This is a delicious destination to discover during your holidays in Marsanne.

The town entirely dedicated to chocolate

Here, you will learn more about the distant cocoa plantations, recipes of master chocolatiers and pastry chefs, and manufacturing methods. Along a well-designed and a very fun tour, the young and old alike will discover the secrets behind the delicacy, loved by all.

A 100% chocolate experience

Prepare for a journey filled with colors and flavors. We will start with a virtual (but a very realistic) walk towards the heart of cocoa plantations on different continents. You will get the opportunity to discover the diversity of raw cocoa beans. Then we will immerse ourselves in the smells and aromas of chocolate varieties from all over the world.

At La Chocolaterie, we will go behind the scenes of the transformation of cocoa beans into chocolate – get ready to be surprised. We will continue our adventure by watching a small conveyor belt that delivers the pieces of dark and milk chocolate.

At the Comptoir des Recettes or at the Atelier Manjari, professional chocolatiers will teach you to identify the origin of chocolate by tasting it and provide you with some recipes.

The youngest ones will love the Ile O Petits, an interactive space designed specifically for them. Here, they will discover more about chocolate in a fun way – with touch pads and with the help of their favorite characters from cartoons.

Finally, the whole family will be invited to take a break at the Comptoir Porcelana for a lunch or a chocolate-based snack.
