The Forest

Introducing just the perfect destination for you to head with your family or friends – welcome to the Indian Forest in Ardèche, located in Coux (5 minutes away from Privas) in the heart of Ardèche and in the middle of the Eyrieux forest and the Robin forest in 15 minutes away from Montélimar. Enjoy the lush greenery and embark on a whole range of exciting activities. Discover our 13 tree climbing routes and join one of our 110 workshops for all levels – we even offer courses for 2-year-olds. If you feel like testing yourself, try out our 2 giant zip lines stretching for over 250m and flying over the forest at a 40-metre height. At this altitude, you can enjoy a pleasant temperature in the shade of the pines (minus 6 degrees than in valley).

The Activities

In the park, you will find something for all levels of physical training – whether you just want to spend good time with your whole family or whether you want to embark on a challenge together with friends and boost your adrenaline levels. While offering a number of physical activities, the park remains open and free-to-access for public, so come and enjoy the freshness of the forest, with its hiking routes, picnic tables, and tennis court all accessible for free. In just five minutes away from the park, you will find a supervised swimming spot.

Probably, you would want to try one of the two famous zip lines stretching for 250m between Drôme and Ardèche – they will allow you to swoosh at full speed above the trees of the forest at the height of 40m. Apart from the two longest zip lines, the cumulative length of the zip lines at all of our 13 tree-climbing courses is more than 857m.

We guarantee heightened security for all our courses, for extra security you can opt for the Interior Clic-IT system, which is compulsory for unaccompanied minors. Clic-IT is a security system that synchronises the opening and closing of two connectors so that the hanging point is permanently secured.

Practical Information

We offer tables for picnic, and free access to tennis courts. You can park your car at the parking lot adjacent to the park, while the territory of the forest is wheelchair-accessible.

Prices for our tree climbing courses are per person for 3-hour courses including a 30-minute instruction. Admission to courses is:

10 eur for children between 2-5 years

15 eur for children between 6-14 years

19 eur for adults

you can opt to add the Clic-IT security feature to your ticket for 5 eur

We are open on the weekends, public holidays and the 5th of May between 2 and 6pm.

The Indian Forest park is located 5 km northwest of Les Bastets campsite in the Drôme Provençale. It takes about fifty minutes to get there.
